Green Tourism

At Rhosydd bach we are very passionate about environmental issues , we can all do small little things that help us to improve the environment that we all depend for our lives.

Recycling is one of the simplest and most efficient things.
Our recycling station is at the far end of the yard, in the old pig stys.
Please separate waste into:
1 paper/cardboard
2 plastic(bottles, bags, wrappers ect
3 tins and cans(steel and aluminium) , tin foil, foil wrappers
4 glasswars(bottles, jars)

Composting

All compostable material can be placed in the green bin , it shall be emptied when necessary.

What to compost Fruit and vegetable peels/rinds, vegetable waste(raw), tea bags, coffee grounds, eggshells, and similar materials.

What not to compost Avoid composting meat scraps, fatty food wastes, milk products, and bones, all cooked food waste -- these materials are very attractive to pests.

All other wastes should be put into the black bin liners , they will be transported to the council waste services and in turn will go into landfill. If we can all cut down our waste by even a half, that’s half the amount of rubbish that we have to bury every year, creating problems for the future generations.

We appreciate your co-operation.
